SEO & Metadata Setup
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) metadata helps search engines understand your site and display it correctly in search results and social sharing previews. Framer makes this easy to configure.
Setting Page-Level SEO
Click on the page name in the Pages list (left panel). Don't open the page — just select it.
The right panel shows page-level settings.
Find the SEO section and expand it.
Fill in Title, Description, and upload an OG Image (Open Graph — shown when shared on social media).
The Three Key Fields
Title — Shown in browser tabs and search results. Keep it under 60 characters. Include your brand name: "Portfolio – Jane Smith" or "Services | Acme Agency".
Description — The short summary shown under your link in search results. Keep it 120–160 characters. Be descriptive and include relevant keywords naturally.
OG Image — The preview image shown when your page is shared on Twitter, LinkedIn, Slack, etc. Ideal size: 1200×630px.
Site-Wide Settings
For global settings (like your favicon and site-wide title template), go to Publish → Site Settings. Here you can upload a favicon (the small icon in browser tabs) and set a default SEO title pattern.
💡 Tip: Create your OG image as a 1200×630px design in Figma, Canva, or even Framer itself. Export it as a JPEG or PNG and upload it to the OG Image field. A good OG image has your site name, a short tagline, and your branding.
